Lindsey Gonzalez

Lindsey Gonzalez

Vice President

Lindsey was born and raised in Napa and received her master’s degree in History and Culture. When she learned about NCHS she immediately jumped at the chance to volunteer. After a couple years of interning she was asked to be on the Board of Directors. Lindsey works part time in Fund Development for On The Move, a local non-profit organization, and also writes with the rest of her time. When she’s not working on her next book or brainstorming, she’s travelling, camping or spending time with friends and loved ones.

Sharon Lampton

Secretary

After a career as an international management consultant based in San Francisco, Sharon Lampton retired to the Napa Valley in 1999. Interested in expanding her interests outside of business and her knowledge of the community in which she lived, Sharon quickly became involved with the Napa County Historical Society, Master Gardeners of Napa County, and the Napa Valley Quilters Guild, assuming various leadership positions in these organizations. She was also an active volunteer at The Napa Valley Museum, Copia, The Napa Valley Opera House and Lincoln Theatre.

A native of Arkansas, John Holt embarked on a long detour to California as an Annapolis-trained officer with the US Navy in a 25-year career that included Submarine Service, post-graduate education, NATO and naval engineering research. A tour that encompassed duty on both our country’s coasts, the Far East and Europe and ranged from San Diego and Washington, D. C. to London and Ankara, Turkey. Returning to California in the mid-80s for a second career involving fiber optic communications, he helped bring Pacific Bell and AT&T into the digital age. Fully retiring to Southern California in the ‘90s, he pursued his long-time interest in both Naval and local history, while advocating the importance of reading with and for children. Returning to the North Bay Area (Yountville) 10 years ago, he continues to volunteer with numerous libraries, museums and schools.
