High resolution TIFF files (400-800 dpi), low resolution JPG files (200-300 dpi), standard web-quality JPG files (72-96 dpi), and high or low resolution PDF files are available for use in newspapers/magazines, books, journals, film/television, exhibitions, websites, and all other uses.

- Prepayment is required. An invoice will be provided once the NCHS Permissions and Reproduction Form is submitted.
- Orders are non-refundable. Rush fees and special handling fees are non-refundable.
Fee Schedule for Public Domain and NCHS Copyrighted Images
An “Existing Digital Image” is one that is already scanned at the requirements needed by the purchaser. If specific scanning requirements are requested, the image falls under the “New Digital Image” fee schedule. Most images will fall under the “New Digital Image” category.
